How do the angels appear behind the pentagrams?

It was a question that I myself asked at one time, and a question that I am sure will be asked again and again in the future.

I gave the same response that I was given, following Hermetic tradition and the admonishments of the Sphynx.

How do you think they appear?

It’s not that I don’t know how they appear, but in giving a reply, even a truthful one there could be possible consequences.

Consequences?

Often the question is not about the angel per se, but rather the journey up the Tree of Life. Starting this magic thing, putting in the time, having experiences- but are they the *right* experiences? Wondering if one is doing things correctly, and wanting to make sure it is so.

If you value the experience of somebody in the temple, and you see things as they see thing, you must be on the right path

But what if they see things differently?

Or if they see it correctly, but one dismisses it based on the opinion of the person offering it?

Following Hermetic secrecy is important as it is done out of compassion when done correctly, a chance for the initiate to discover the stone for themselves.

The correct response is: let’s go to the temple and see how they appear together.

Stand in the temple, step outside of space and time before the Gods, and I’ll show you how the angels appear.
