Golden Dawn Secret Chiefs

Regarding hanging around academic circles and the Golden Dawn, eventually one will be asked about the validity of the Secret Chiefs.

Are they real, or are they another fabrication of the Golden Dawn and its system of magic?

What do I think regarding the Secret Chiefs?

Before we can explore that I feel we need a precise definition regarding them: Secret Chiefs being a classification of beings, angels, intelligences, and humans who guide and protect the mysteries which in this cycle of the Eternal Return we call the “Golden Dawn” and its system of magic.

Definition defined, before I can share my thoughts we need to clarify one more point regarding Hermetic secrecy and tradition, which can be flexed a little bit on this blog due to the medium and names not being named.

Normally no opinion is offered one way or another regarding this magic thing, as to do can shut down the current, and can also limit the potency of magic.

There is a reason one follows the admonishments of the Sphynx.

So what about the Secret Chiefs?

I do believe they are real, and that they do very much guide and protect the Golden Dawn, going by personal experience- is there any other criteria for magic?

The teachings and experiences of the Golden Dawn point to crossing the abyss and what does one think happens beyond 6=5? Awakened by the magic of the Golden Dawn, when one cross the abyss and the form is maintained, where does it go and what happens?

Not all Secret Chiefs are Gods or kings.

We also have the Golden Dawn under the stewardship of certain power and angels, keeping it very much alive and safe, where do they reside in the system?

Let’s also apply a layer of magic just to be safe…

If I believe the Chiefs are real, then they are real and act as real, imbued by the magic world-view, if skeptical of that, by not dismissing the idea, and at least being open to it, leaves a possibility.

Dismissing them discounts and shut that possibility down, thus applying limitation, and there should be no limitation in magic.

Finally you are telling me that you *do* believe in this magic thing, but not in the Secret Chiefs?
